Many military families come to Newport, Rhode Island for a short assignment at the Naval War College. The C family had just one short year in Rhode Island. That’s not very long to explore and experience our New England seasons, town, and culture, but they made the best of it! When Maxine reached out to schedule a family session, she knew she wanted a location that would always remind them of Newport. Castle Hill Lighthouse was the perfect fit!
A chilly fall morning welcomed us at Castle Hill Lighthouse with a strong breeze. Maxine’s kids were a little cold, so we grabbed those key shots in front of the lighthouse and headed for a protected area. One of my favorite things about Castle Hill Lighthouse are the tall yellow grasses in the Fall and the secret pathways for kids to wander. Not to mention that beyond the lighthouse is protected from the winds! The whole family was dressed in navys and greens which was a perfect fall color palette for family photos. My family sessions allow for lots of time for hugs & kisses, play time, exploring and running. And on this occasion, jumping in puddles at the end!
