Lauren and Keith had the wedding I think every groom (or at least my husband!) dreams of – a low key, no fuss party on an island overlooking the water! In fact, Lauren and Keith’s Block Island wedding was one of the most unique, intimate ceremony and receptions that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing!
So let me tell you about Lauren and Keith. They are a mix of relaxation and go-go-go – they are full of laughter, but also reserved; incredibly kind and giving to others; and at their wedding it was incredibly evident how much they cherish their friends and family! Which is exactly why they chose to have a relaxed Block Island wedding, mid-week in July. Their main goal was for everyone to truly experience the uniqueness and beauty of Block Island.
Lauren’s vision of the day went off flawlessly, with the help of the fabulous Summer Sisters. We built in time during the day to explore parts of the island and get those beautiful photos of Lauren & Keith. Naturally, Southeast Lighthouse was one of my favorite spots, along with the buoy wall in town. I loved the subtle nautical elements Lauren worked in – seersucker for the kids, boat shoes for Keith, and a fish cornhole set. It was a picturesque New England summer day and dinner out on the porch of the Sullivan House was the icing on the cake, followed by those dreamy first dances out on the lawn overlooking Block Island New Harbor!
Congratulations to Lauren & Keith!
“Cherish” is the word! A day to feel very proud. Such great pictures. Such a beautiful wedding So happy!
Love all,
Dad
