For the past four years, my Newport Summer Beach Mini Sessions have completely sold out — and they’ve become one of my favorite summer traditions. These sessions are perfect for families who want updated beach photos without committing to a full-length evening on the sand. They’re short, relaxed, and full of genuine moments.

We meet at Second Beach (technically located in Middletown, but just over the Newport line). This spot is known by many as one of Newport’s most beautiful beaches. With rolling dunes, wide sandy shoreline, and endless blue horizon, it offers that classic coastal New England backdrop of sand and sea.

Mini sessions are intentionally streamlined. Instead of hours of posing, we create beautiful images in a focused pocket of time. The shorter format keeps kids engaged and energy high, which leads to natural smiles and authentic connection.

Some of my favorite images happen in between: siblings walking hand in hand along the shoreline, wind-blown hair catching golden light, parents scooping up sandy toddlers, and parasailers drifting quietly across the horizon. It’s Newport in July exactly as it should be — relaxed, breezy, and full of life.

What Should We Wear for Beach Photos at Second Beach?

Second Beach pairs beautifully with coastal casual style. Navy, khaki, white, and soft light blue tones always photograph well against the sand.
