Did you know that I now offer vintage truck mini sessions in the fall and winter??
2018 was a big year of business purchases – new logo, new website, Canon Mark IV body. But my favorite of all was buying a 1962 vintage Studebaker truck! My husband Andrew has a Scout International that we LOVE to drive in the summer. And since moving to New England, I’ve dreamed of owning my own antique truck.
Well, the timing was perfect on this one! Andrew’s “car guy” in town, Durands Auto, had it sitting in the lot looking for a new home – I took one test drive and signed the check on the spot!
My goal in buying the vintage truck was to have the opportunity to offer mini sessions with a unique backdrop, rent it for that rustic chic wedding, and use it for styled shoots (coming in April!). Well I ran my first mini session in October to test out the waters. And you guessed it…it was so. so. so much fun!! I picked Seapowet Marsh in Tiverton as the backdrop with its wheat fields, open space, and plenty of parking! Each family had 20 minutes and we got some great shots! The kids completely gravitated to the truck and loved exploring the ins and outs of this green beauty.
