RACHELE + PAUL | September 6, 2019 | The Chanler at Cliff Walk, Newport RI

In this day and age there are a million different kinds, sizes, styles and themes of weddings. Each of them is of course unique and sentimental in their own way. But I am here to tell you that Rachele and Paul’s elegant Chanler Newport wedding was one for the books!

Rachele and Paul chose 50 of their closest friends and family for an intimate, elegant Chanler Newport wedding overlooking Easton’s Beach. Rachele was likely the most relaxed bride of 2019. I loved the special time she and her mom shared in the bridal suite. It was quiet, it was chaos free, and the bright natural light made my heart so happy. The Chanler really knows how to spoil their brides. And Rachele chose details to match the hotel’s details so perfectly. I love the story of her gown. Her dad is an airline pilot and actually picked it up for her overseas. She found it somewhere online and asked him to grab it on his next flight overseas!! How cool is that??

It was also my first time in the Viking Hotel’s Kay Chapel and oh my goodness is this place charming or what?! The ceremony was so sweet with the groom’s nieces walking down the aisle as flower girls, and everyone in the first few pews. I love their exit of the church with the bouquet up in the air and those sweet arched church doors.

Despite the beauty of the decor and venues, we did battle some interesting weather that day! High winds and heavy rain hit just after we were finishing the first look and family photos. I always pray that each couple gets *some* portraits out in the natural light. And usually we can find the pockets in between showers! Rachele and Paul made the most of things and were on board for any minor shifts in getting those portraits in beautiful natural light. It was certainly all worth it!
