MIKAELA + TED | AUGUST 3, 2019 | GLEN MANOR

I will never forget meeting Mikaela and Ted for the first time at the Panera in Newport. When they shared their interests and hobbies it was like I was speaking to myself. Home reno enthusiasts, antique car owners, and loves old boats – it was a perfect match! Their summer Glen Manor wedding was an absolute dream! And what an honor it was to capture every perfect detail.

My favorite part about Mikaela and Ted’s story is how they met. It wasn’t on Tinder or at a bar or in high school. Their parents were friends while M+T grew up and they used to get each other’s Christmas cards. Mikaela had a crush on Ted from the start, but it took some time for things to come together! Many years later the stars aligned and brought these two to together and finally to their summer Glen Manor wedding!

I had the honor of first photographing their Prudence Island engagement session. As if it wasn’t cool enough that Mikaela grew up summering on Prudence in her family’s cottage, but they brought their antique Ford truck as a prop. I knew from this moment that we would not only have the coolest photographs from their engagement session and wedding, but that we’d be friends!

Their summer Glen Manor wedding was all things beautiful, vibrant and intimate. A beautiful summer day greeted us. It brought to life the lush gardens, golden light, and beautiful sunset on the docks at Glen Manor House. I loved all their special touches – clam shells for the seating chart, homemade beer and labels for the favors, candles everywhere creating such an intimate space, and Newport Storm beer with their wedding day on the label. I could not have loved it more from start to finish.

Congratulations Mikaela + Ted! This year I’m really bringing our lobster boat out to Prudence to say hello!
