A Quentissential Little Compton Engagement Session

Lizzie and Jack’s Little Compton engagement session felt like a perfect reflection of summer along the Rhode Island coast. The shoot captured their story in a way that felt just as meaningful. We had soft, diffused light throughout the afternoon, with rays of sun adding warmth at all the right times.

We started at South Shore Beach, where the churning surf created beautiful movement behind them as they walked and paused along the shoreline. Lizzie wore a playful, summery dress with patchwork-style prints—lobsters, lemons, and fish—that brought in a fun coastal feel. The signature blue and green cabana doors added the perfect pop of color. Everything felt easy, relaxed, and distinctly Little Compton.

Coastal Color and Golden Hour at Sakonnet Golf Club

From there, we headed to Sakonnet Golf Club for a different look. Lizzie changed into a simple white mini dress, while Jack wore light linen and soft neutrals. The light turned golden as we moved into the grassy reeds, and everything took on a warm, glowing tone.

We spent time near a bordering stone wall—one of those details that feels so quintessential to this part of New England. The combination of clean styling and natural surroundings gave this part of the session a timeless feel.

A Classic New England Finish by the Shore

For the final location, we made our way to a family property with a traditional New England shingled home and an open lawn that stretched toward the water—also the setting for their wedding reception. Lizzie changed into a yellow printed maxi dress, and Jack added a cream blazer that complemented the softer tones of the setting.

They popped champagne on the lawn before walking down to the rocky shoreline. As the sun set, the sky shifted into soft oranges and purples, creating the kind of light you hope for but can’t plan. We ended the session along the water.
