Summer Beach Minis | Newport, RI

This summer I decided to offer my first ever Summer Beach Minis for all my clients who wanted that classic beach session. We started late afternoon at Second Beach in Newport, Rhode Island and while it was crowded, we had a beautiful afternoon and evening. Each family had a 20 minute session to get some posed and candid shots. I started in the dunes for each family to avoid wet clothing in the first few minutes. Once we got all the posed photos, we moved closer to the water so that the kids could play in the water and dig sand and run around together. These were the perfect Summer Beach Minis – short and sweet and the best way to capture summertime.

I had a number of repeat families who were looking to document growing kids or a pregnancy or just to document their family in the summertime without a big time commitment. As always, loved seeing my wedding couples who have become life long clients! I was also excited to meet some new faces as well – thanks Instagram! – and get them used to being in front of my lens. Next year I’m thinking we need a Dels truck to really bring the full Rhode Island summer experience together!
