The Gardiner House itself—with its crisp interiors, thoughtful textures, and undeniable Serena & Lily–inspired charm—set the perfect tone. Every corner of this boutique hotel offered beautiful portrait opportunities, from sunlit hallways to serene waterfront views.

A Heartfelt Ceremony at St. Mary’s Church

Mary Kate and Ciaran exchanged vows at St. Mary’s Church, a ceremony filled with warmth and tradition. One of the most meaningful moments of the day was Mary Kate’s uncle playing the organ—an intimate, family-centered touch that made the ceremony feel even more special.

Ocean Drive Portraits & Newport Icons

After the ceremony, we headed out along Ocean Drive with the bridal party for portraits, soaking in the salty air and iconic Newport scenery. Mary Kate and Ciaran’s vintage car was the perfect finishing touch.

Cocktails, Oysters & a Harbor Sunset

Back at the Gardiner House, the ballroom opened up for cocktail hour, welcoming guests with live music, custom cocktails, and an oyster bar complete with live shucking. As the evening unfolded, a pastel sunset washed over Newport Harbor—one of those magical, fleeting moments that felt like a gift.

A Clear Tent Reception Under the Stars

The reception took place beneath a stunning clear tent on the lawn, glowing with twinkle lights as night fell. The atmosphere was bright, celebratory, and full of energy as guests enjoyed dinner overlooking the water before dancing the night away to a live band.

One of the most emotional moments of the evening came when Mary Kate changed into a custom reception dress designed from her mother’s wedding gown—a beautiful tribute that perfectly reflected the sentimental spirit of the day.
