Winter Maternity Photo Session | Little Compton, Rhode Island

Kelsey + Nick | January 2018 | Winter Maternity Session

Just two years ago we were raising glasses of champagne to Kelsey + Nick at their Coastal Rhode Island Wedding at Glen Manor House!  And now we will be raising baby bottles! Kelsey and Nick are pregnant with a sweet baby boy due in April 2019!!

Having both grown up in Rhode Island, Kelsey and Nick have carved out a new life for themselves in North Carolina. They contacted me over the fall to set up their winter maternity photo session – in their home state of Rhode Island!  Kelsey’s only request was that the location involve the coast. Most importantly, I wanted a spot that offered some variety other than the winter “brown” look. So I picked one of my favorite spots – Goosewing Beach Preserve in Little Compton, RI.  Even in the depth of dreary January, this spot is beautiful with the tall yellow grass, a widespread beach and deep blue ocean. On the other hand, this location has the threat of icy winds. In other words, it can be COLD.  But Kelsey and Nick endured like champs, proving their New England roots are still there!

I loved getting to spend time with these two again and can’t wait to see them welcome in their new role as parents!
