Macy and Conor welcomed their Texas crew to Newport in the most unforgettable way — with a lobster-themed welcome party. The International Tennis Hall of Fame set the stage for the ultimate summer celerbation. Their three-day celebration began the night before with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Giusto. By the time guests arrived for the welcome party, the excitement for the weekend ahead was already building.

The morning of the event, I woke up with a brutal case of food poisoning (truly the worst timing imaginable!). But by late afternoon, I rallied just enough to capture the beautiful details! My amazing associate stepped in to photograph the rest of the evening so I could rest up for their big day at Castle Hill Inn. I will never stop being grateful for the team that makes weekends like this possible.

And let me tell you — this welcome party was worth every bit of effort. It was the loveliest blend of whimsy, tradition, and pure New England charm. From the lobster lollipops that doubled as escort cards to the show-stopping lobster-shaped floral installation greeting guests as they stepped onto the greens, every detail felt special. McGrath’s Clambakes served a quintessential lobster bake. It was complete with all the coastal classics, creating an experience that was both delicious and delightfully on-theme.

Gingham tablecloths added a playful touch to each table; paired with “How to Eat a Lobster” place cards and warm summer florals that made the space feel festive and welcoming. Guests sipped cocktails and listened to heartfelt toasts on the lawn before settling into their lobster feast in the breezeway of the historic venue. It was the perfect setting to soak in those warm Newport breezes and mark the start of an unforgettable wedding weekend.
