ALLISON + BOBBY | July 14, 2019 | Salve Chapel + Newport Beach House
Both Salve University alums, Allison and Bobby met one night out in Newport and realized they both had a similar obsession with surfing, Newport and their families. A few years later Bobby proposed overlooking the Cliff Walk and their alma mater Salve University. We even did their engagement session along Ocean Drive! So, it was a natural choice to celebrate their love for each other and the ocean with a seaside, Newport Beach House wedding.
What I loved most about Allison + Bobby’s wedding were all the personal touches. They truly put a lot of thought and intention into each detail about both the ceremony and reception. They wanted everything to embody Newport, the ocean and local elements which made it so special.
The ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Salve University was so intimate and personalized. We took advantage of the beautiful gardens and mansions afterwards for family and couple portraits. We then headed over to their Newport Beach House wedding reception for cocktails, sunset on the beach, and dancing in the ballroom.
Bobby started Rhody Surf back in 2011 to spread his love for surfing. Allison has more recently been running the summer program. So they decided that a surfboard guestbook would be the most fitting way to remember their day! What an incredible momento to remember your wedding day! Other personal touches that I loved included Newport Sea Salt favors, local blooms for each bouquet from Allison’s hometown of Westport, as well as custom made rings from another Westport local artist. Oh, and I can’t forget the vintage baby blue car!! We had the most fun getting some shots along the beaches and Salve’s campus in this pretty ride.
