Jessi and Brian kicked off their gorgeous wedding weekend with this FUN welcome sail for their guests. I have seen a lot of different welcome party ideas in my time as a photographer. Barbecues, cocktail parties, etc. are all super fun ideas to welcome your guests! Jessi and Brian’s family welcome sail was certainly an incredible option to kick off coastal wedding weekend in Newport, RI.
We departed from Bowen’s Wharf and set sail on the beautiful 80 foot Schooner, Aquidneck II. We had a bit of a windy late spring afternoon on the water, but it didn’t stop guests from having a great time. It was such a pleasure to be able to interact with the couple’s family and friends in a more intimate setting prior to their wedding at Castle Hill! The Denver natives have family ties to RI, so it was only fitting that they’re tied the knot in this little city by the sea.
We sailed around the Newport Harbor and caught a glimpse of Castle Hill Inn, the location of Jessi and Brian’s second date, engagement, AND their wedding. Their wedding welcome sail was the perfect beginning to their coastal, garden party inspired nuptials in Newport!
